Scottish ranking: 16
Architect: James Braid
Creation date: 1919
Par: 70
Distance from St Andrews: 80 km
Distance from Edinburgh: 80 km
Distance from Glasgow: 85 km
Distance from Inverness: 210 km

This is a James Braid design, built in 1919 and which is, for most people, the best of the three courses at Gleneagles. There are no “weak” holes and gives golfers an opportunity to play a wide variety of holes. The course is superbly located with landscape surrounded by trees, bushes, hills and incredible wildlife. The King’s is a classic British inland golf course.

Queen's

Scottish ranking: 22
Architect: James Braid
Creation date: 1917
Par: 68
Distance from St Andrews: 80 km
Distance from Edinburgh: 80 km
Distance from Glasgow: 85 km
Distance from Inverness: 210 km

Built two years before the King’s, in 1917, the course has a wonderful layout providing golfers with a course of total majesty in magical surroundings.
The Queen’s is the easiest course of the three in Gleneagles, giving an opportunity to less experienced golfers to enjoy their game.

PGA Centenary

Creation date: 1993
Par: 72
Distance from St Andrews: 80 km
Distance from Edinburgh: 80 km
Distance from Glasgow: 85 km
Distance from Inverness: 210 km

This course, built in 1993, by the legendary Jack Nicklaus is the youngest of the three courses in Gleneagles. Obviously it is an American design in the midst of traditional Scottish beauty. This magnificent golf course is improving each year and will be ready to host the Ryder Cup in 2014. This “strategic” course accommodates all levels of ability with five different tees on each hole.
