Always wonderfully presented, this James Braid’s masterpiece is a lovely course.
Short but with tight fairways and tiny greens, which will challenge all levels of golfer. The 6th hole is one of the most memorable in Scottish golf.

Scottish ranking: 59
Architect: Unknown
Creation date: 1899
Par: 72
Distance from St Andrews: 265 km
Distance from Edinburgh: 270 km

This friendly Golf course is a great test of golf and lives in the shadow of its well known neighbour Nairn Golf club.
Situated on the shores of the Moray Firth, the Nairn Dunbar golf course, founded in 1899, it is a highly rated Scottish links championship course representing a formidable challenge with its gorse.
The new club-house is really comfortable if you wish to spend a bit more time on the 19th hole.

Brora

Scottish ranking: 31
Architect: James Braid
Creation date: 1923
Par: 69
Distance from St Andrews: 330 km
Distance from Edinburgh: 335 km
Distance from Glasgow: 375 km
Distance from Inverness: 105 km

Golf in Brora has been played since 1891. It is a pure traditional links course designed by James Braid, where little has changed since he left in 1923.
It’s a relatively easy course, with no wind, but to be honest the real challenge is to play this course with the wind, it makes it much more interesting.
The golf course has two main characteristics, the first one is that you will not find any markers to help you to judge distances and the second is that most of the green-keepers are sheep and cows, which is why you will find electric fences all around the greens. A great golf experience.

Tain

Scottish ranking: 55
Architect: Old Tom Morris
Creation date: 1890
Par: 70

Distance from Glasgow: 345 km
Distance from Inverness: 75 km

Designed in 1890 by the famous Old Tom Morris, Tain Golf club is Dornoch’s neighbour.
The lay-out is quite technical and the greens are very tricky, which make this course really interesting.
This championship-length links enjoys spectacular views over mountains and sea and benefits from a sheltered climate, which allows favourable golfing conditions for most of the year.
You will find a warm welcome and great value for money.
